Run Ger Run | The Final Chapter

As many of you at this stage will know, the pledge was made and the pledge has now been honoured... Six Half Marathons down!!

Dublin, Ireland - 6th August - 2hrs 8 mins

London, UK - 24th August - 2hrs 53 mins

Tokyo, Japan - 7th September - 2hrs 45 mins

Cork, Ireland - 28th October - 1 hr 58 mins

Eastbourne, UK - 2nd December - 1 hr 55 mins

Wicklow, Ireland - 3rd December - 2 hrs 16 mins

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who ran with me over the 6 half marathons (in particular UK COO David Leithead, who ran in 3 of them).

I would also like to thank all those who supported me by way of organising the routes and runners, organising the fundraising, all those who donated so generously and all those who gave me great words of encouragement.

At the Irish Christmas Party, CEO Pat Fitzgerald very kindly announced that Morgan McKinley would double anything I raised. I haven't the final tally yet, but it looks like the total raised will be c€9,000 which means when matched by Morgan McKinley will total a whopping €18,000! This will go to a brilliant charity called Laura Lynn who support children with Life Limiting Conditions. View my JustGiving page here.

We have made huge progress with the MMK Million this year and I expect that globally we will have raised and volunteered approximately €200,000 in the past 6 months of 2016 alone... That is a fantastic achievement that sets us well on our way to our 1 million euro goal!...

I would like to thank everyone for all that you have done this year to make MMK Million such an overwhelming success. We really have made a difference to the lives of others, many less fortunate than ourselves. We should be truly proud of our collective achievements in 2016.
