HR the Japanese Way

On the evening of 30th October, Morgan McKinley Japan’s HR team hosted a networking event to bring together Heads of HR to enjoy some of the finest wines available at Berry Brothers and Rudd in Marunouchi.

For those of you not familiar with Berry Brothers and Rudd, they are one of the UK’s most prestigious and renowned wine merchants dating back over 400 years.

Taking in the breathtaking variety of wine available and the beautiful surroundings, David Jones of Berry Brothers introduced a number of wines, whilst commenting on the different notes and flavours of the wines. Exploring a range of wines from Pinot Noir to Chablis, the evening was a true night of decadence and flavour.

Enjoying the wine and making new contacts, the wine tasting evening created a lively atmosphere which encouraged our attendees to freely exchange views and share ideas on the HR industry and workspace. Amongst the attendees, there were representatives from banking, consumer goods, healthcare, luxury goods and manufacturing to name but a few. HR practices were discussed, new business relationships were formed, and everyone of course enjoyed a superb array of delicious wines!

All in all, the night was a great success with several attendees commenting on how refreshing it was to be able to meet with other HR professionals at a more informal and relaxed event. As we enter a very busy period for HR in Japan, our recruitment consultants and attendees also enjoyed the opportunity to relax and unwind from their day to day work responsibilities.

Watch this space for another Morgan McKinley Japan HR event next year!
