Cherry blossom season in Japan = career change?

For those of us who have spent time in Japan, Hanami (Cherry Blossom Viewing Season) conjures up memories of endless photos taken to capture the perfect Sakura (cherry blossom) as well as getting excited about Spring and the year ahead.

The whole country becomes obsessed about following the cherry blossoms with special news items in the weather forecast about when the first bloom will be and predicted full bloom. This year, March 25 is the day of the first bloom in Tokyo (the official forecast can be found here)

It’s also the time when a lot of people take time to reassess their life and career or for graduates to start new jobs. Are you thinking about a career change? If so, why not consider recruitment?

A career in recruitment can be highly rewarding. You have the chance to make a difference in someone’s life and advise them on their career path plans or help get them their dream job. It can be stressful and frustrating at times as well as being fast paced and dynamic. No two days are the same, but NOTHING beats that feeling of placing a candidate into their dream job and making a client happy (and you make commission!)

There is a lot to learn when you first start out as an Associate Consultant but as long as you are passionate, resilient and take pride on delivering great service and keen to join an organization with clear career progression, then Morgan McKinley might be for you!

At Morgan McKinley Japan, we are currently looking for native level or fluent level (JLPT N1/1kyu) Japanese speakers to join us at an Associate Consultant or Consultant level. If you would like to know more, check out our Glassdoor page for the latest vacancies.

If you don’t think this is the job for you, but know someone who can speak fluent level Japanese and who is considering a career in recruitment, get in touch by emailing us their details to talentacquisition@morganmckinley.co.uk.
