The Career Change You Never Considered

As the economy globally continues to sputter, one industry that continues to flourish and grow is recruitment.

Recruiters are intermediaries that connect candidates to clients, however, there is so much more.

It is challenging, rewarding and above all -- fun.

Like many, I never sought out recruitment but reflecting back, it turned out to be serendipity. The potential to earn a high salary almost immediately was extremely attractive to me, as was the variety of each day, and the interaction I have with hundreds of different people from all over the world are all attractive parts of the career. You are part of a dynamic environment that offers flexibility, autonomy and great career progression that allows you to reap the benefits of the work you put in.

A typical day for a recruitment consultant can involve a variety of tasks, from candidate generation through headhunting, advertising and proactive networking to securing interviews for candidates and working with them to ensure they are fully prepared.

Do not expect a 9-5 job but rather a career in which the more work you put in, the more successful you will be.
