Senior Financial Analyst
Overall Job Purpose: As a Senior Financial analyst, the incumbent will be responsible for managing the day to day reporting activities of the assigned Business Unit/legal entity and ensuring the quality and timey execution of deliverables as per SLA/requirements. He is also responsible for researching and analyzing financial information to help company make well informed decisions, write reports, monitor financial movements, and finalize books of accounts.


 

  • CA/CMA Semi qualified/Qualified, Graduate/Post Graduate in commerce.
  • 6+ years post qualification experience with a minimum of 4 years in MNC
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office - Expert MS Excel knowledge is preferable
  • Experience in using SAP
  • Prior experience of ERP transactional processing environment
  • Experience working in MNCs is mandatory

Responsibilities:

  • Monthly, Quarterly, and year-end financial reporting and closing of books of accounts for the Business Unit/legal entity.
  • Responsible for end-to-end reporting of assigned entities and perform the role of entity controller.
  • Lead a small team of financial analysts and ensure the quality of all the Month-end deliverables as per SLA.
  • Engage with Onshore Managers / Counterparts in developing the new process transitions as well in sustaining the on-going processes.
  • Responsible for Segment/LOB wise Accounting & Reporting.
  • Maintain effective internal controls for the Financial Reporting processes.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections as required.
  • Review & analyze various commission & Bonus schemes and post the accruals, payments and build strong controls to ensure the accuracy and timely deliverables.
  • Perform the tasks related to Fees and close the monthly Fees as per the agreed timeline.
  • Spend & Variance analysis and submission of reports updated with variance commentary.
  • Ensure successful Transition and transformation of financial reporting process from on-shore to off-shore.
  • Ensure all SLAs are met with in the agreed timelines.
  • Identify & process all types of month end close entries of accruals, deferrals, pre-payments, recharges, intercompany JE etc.
  • Maintain Fixed asset register and process depreciation entries.
  • Bank Reconciliation & posting bank and petty cash journals.
  • Monthly salary analysis & posting journals.
  • Review & Analyse accrued income reports & aged debtors reports.
  • Monitoring the balance sheet deferrals & accruals, prepare ageing analysis and follow up with business team to ensure timely clearing of all items.
  • Ensure that risks to financial performance are identified early and communicated to senior management.
  • Providing alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
  • Knowledge Transition/Training of reporting process to the new team members and ensure that they get a good grip on the process.
  • Manage responses to queries from clients and auditors.
  • Responsible for process documentation and keep them up to date.
  • Adhoc reporting & Analysis as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager
