Due to the rapid expansion of our Engineering desk, we are looking for Engineering Recruitment Consultants to join our team. We are looking for hardworking, driven individuals who are looking to take the next step in their career and join a high performing team.

We are looking for the following types of candidates:

Career Starter – Recent Engineering Graduate

I won’t lie, recruiting experienced candidates into important roles within Multinational Companies can be a difficult task, it takes time to learn and understand different companies, processes and industries. The minimum requirement for an Engineering Consultant here at Morgan McKinley is a degree in Engineering. You can kick-start your recruitment career by using your knowledge you have gained in college to give you an advantage over your competitors in the market. Your technical background, coupled with the defined training and development plan set out by Morgan McKinley will ensure that you have every opportunity to become a top billing consultant.

Career Changer

This is the category I fit into. Having completed a Degree in Civil Engineering from Trinity College, I then went into a Design Engineer role with a Civil Engineering company. Following this I moved into sales. When I was weighing up my options for my next career move, recruitment caught my eye. I could continue a career in sales while not leaving my engineering knowledge behind. When I came into Morgan McKinley for my first interview I learned that many of the consultants were proven professionals in their own field who had also decided to make a calculated move into the exciting world of recruitment to capitalise on their previous experience and make some serious money! We have Accountants, Banking Professionals, Scientists, Engineers and Lawyers working in our offices.

If you are currently working in an engineering position and you feel like you are ready for a change, recruitment may be the choice for you. The dream you had of your engineering career may be quite different from the reality. Monotonous tasks, lack of career progression, poor salary and boredom are just some of the reasons that I hear from candidates day in day out who are doubting their original career choice.
