Part Two: Important Factors in Choosing a Recruitment Consultancy to Work For

Following on from my previous blog, today I’m going to look at the managers/leaders at Morgan McKinley.

What do we look for in a manager or leader at Morgan McKinley?

They must show that they live and breathe our company values and they must lead from the front. They should be approachable and very knowledgeable about the area of recruitment they specialize in. Our managers give their teams a high level of autonomy to build their own portfolio as well as giving their team mentoring opportunities for more inexperienced consultants on the team.

We heavily invest in our managers and senior directors globally in the business by offering them the opportunity to attend our Leadership Development Programme which is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). This qualification is available to team leaders and managers at Morgan McKinley (including support services), to give them support and tools required to develop as a successful leader.

The programme gives managers the resources to build their leadership toolkit, specifically offering coaching and training for building high performing, nurturing talent and managing change.

So what should you be looking for?
Ultimately, you should be looking for a manager that you click with. Someone you feel will be supportive of your career development and progression as well as someone you feel you can learn from.

Don’t forgot to tune in for Part 3 – Career Progression in the coming weeks!
