Morgan McKinley Sydney, this is your year…

With the first half of 2016 firmly behind us and the subject of Christmas starting to appear in conversations, it’s easy to forget some of the success and great moments enjoyed so far this year.

I wanted to take a look at the highlights of the year, before minds are cast towards looking ahead at what will be achieved in the next New Year...

image-aGo Beyond - Last year was private villas in Bali and this year our Go Beyond winners enjoyed the slopes of Queenstown, New Zealand on a trip of adventure and indulgence!

End of quarter events - Whether it is a private boat cruise around Sydney Harbour, escape room, karaoke, lawn bowls,  a

BBQ and drinks mmk-boys in the sun or a game of bubble football, we believe it’s important for all teams to come together as one team at the end of every quarter.

Platinum lunch club - We believe it is important to celebrate success together so our Platinum Club lunches are the perfect opportunity for our high performers and values heroes to enjoy a long lunch in one of Sydney’s best restaurants where diets are strictly forbidden.

Next on the list for lunch was Riley St Garage where the dessert platter looked like a work of art! Most recently, our Platinum Club

ottoenjoyed lunch at Apollo Restaurant in Potts Point (we strongly recommend the Saganaki cheese honey oregano!)

Team Incentives - Each team will be rewarded on a monthly basis with an activity of their choice. So far this year, our teams have enjoyed a weekend trip to Cairns and long lunches in Catalina, Nel, Otto, Cafe Sydney and Icebergs Dining.

Christmas in July - For any non-Australians reading this then Christmas in July is another excuse to get out the mince pies and mulled wine during winter in Sydney.

MMK Million - Morgan McKinley’s global initiative to raise €1 million by 2018 as an organisation; in turn improving the lives of those around us and in our communities. There have been countless events in aid of this from half marathons, casino nights, bake sales and head shaves! Each employee is also using 2 days per year to volunteer with a charity of their choice. Have a look at what we’ve done so far on our CSR page here.

For the part-time athletes in the office there has been the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge, City2Surf and next on the list is the Sydney Half Marathon.

Events - As a part of Morgan McKinley’s commitment to thought leadership, we held our bi-annual breakfast event where 150 people gathered in the Establishment Ballroom to hear industry leaders discuss innovation. You can read more about this event here. We also held a Women in Leadership Panel Discussion and Lunch with 4 panelists, 33 tables, 400 guests... The most anticipated annual event for anyone with their finger on the pulse regarding gender equality in the workplace!
