Morgan McKinley places 3rd in the Best Places to Work Australia Awards!

Morgan McKinley was named the 3rd Best Place to Work in Australia, announced at the 2020 live stream awards ceremony! This was the second year that the company had made the Top 50 in the under 100 employees category. Morgan McKinley was extremely proud to be recognised alongside Bluefin Resources placing 16th and Beaumont People placing 4th in the same category.

“Louise and I are thrilled to be recognised amongst such a well-respected and diverse range of organisations. To make the top 50 Best Places to Work list is an achievement in itself but to improve our position by 7 places to come in at #3 in Australia in the under 100 employee category is just fantastic.” say Joint APAC Managing Directors, Vanessa Harding-Farrenberg and Louise Langridge.

Morgan McKinley has nine offices across the globe, and the Sydney office is the second within the global business to enter and make the Best Places to Work Top 50 list. The office in Ireland (where the company was founded over 30 years ago) have achieved highly at these awards for a number of years now, with the office recently being awarded the 6th best organisation to work for in Ireland.

There were 200 questions that needed to be addressed alongside an engagement survey that was sent to everyone in the business. This survey is a true testament to how the employees view the organisation they work for, as it is an honest reflection from their own viewpoint.

Results from this survey are then benchmarked against 100,000 employees in Australia. Morgan McKinley again exceeded the benchmark criteria, matching their 2019 result of 98% of the team saying Morgan McKinley is ‘a great place to work’. Responses showed specific areas of strength for Morgan McKinley; employees feeling empowered, having a sense of pride for their job, engaged with their roles and the business, workplace flexibility and overall job security.

What has changed since placing 10th in 2019?

From their success in placing in 10th place in 2019, Morgan McKinley has since listened to their people, taking on feedback for areas of improvement within the business. It has been fantastic to have these efforts being recognised and to know they’re having a positive impact.

Vanessa Harding-Farrenberg states that “This hasn't happened by chance. There is a huge amount of work, shared ideas, feedback, collaboration and commitment involved from everyone in the business and it comes from a genuine belief that making MMK a great place to work is important and key to our success.”
