Lack of learning and opportunity? Not at Morgan McKinley!

"The number one reason that individuals leave their job is due to a ‘lack of learning or opportunity’" (Josh Bersin, Deloitte Human Capital Trends 2014)

Sarah Bowers, our HR Manager in Ireland discusses our new Career Pathways programme.

At Morgan McKinley we want to inspire individuals about their career and the opportunities for progression that exist within our growing global business. To do so we have created an empowering new Career Pathways programme housed on its very own website called Morgan! This website, which employs cutting edge design is available externally and through tablet or mobile devices, meaning that you can learn and explore at a time that suits you best!

Our programme is based upon behavioural and technical competency frameworks which clearly outline what exceptional performance looks like in each role. The programme is applicable to all roles across our global business, including recruitment and support services. At the heart of the programme we are empowering people to take ownership of their own development. To ensure this happens we are providing individuals with the tools and resources needed to identify and map out their own career progression and personal development. Among the tools available online are functional organograms, job descriptions, competency frameworks which specifically outline successful behaviours per role and a role specific menu of our learning and development offerings.

To further support individuals seeking to identify their career pathways we have selected a number of career ambassadors globally. These ambassadors are people internally who have been identified across our global locations to inspire and advise others about different career path options and choices based on the career and success they have had within our company.

At Morgan McKinley we believe that development is personal - one-size will never fit all. Our commitment is that everyone has their own Personal Development Plan which is tailored to suit their own development needs and aspirations. This plan is created and reviewed through regular and open coaching conversations with your manager.

We have confidence that along with helping individuals to achieve their personal development and career aspirations, this programme, in turn will improve our business performance and better engage and retain our top talent.

Here at Morgan McKinley we are currently hiring for recruiters at all levels and for multiple divisions across our Irish offices. So if you feel like taking responsibility for your career this year and challenging yourself to Go Beyond in your quest to grow and learn, if you have a willingness to step out of your comfort zone and achieve new things for yourself, come join a company with whom you can build a lasting career. We’re waiting to hear from you!
